Postcards commemorating the wedding of the Prince and Princess of Monaco
April 19, 1956, with commemorative stamps and postmarks:

About a million years ago I worked at the Latter Branch of the New Orleans Public Library, a stately mansion on St. Charles Avenue donated by the Latter family.  Being a natural dumpster-diver and all-around-snoop I found a locked closet on the 2nd floor.  One lunch hour I removed the hinges and opened it, discovering a trove of junk untouched for decades.  The greatest find was an ivory replica of the Taj Mahal -- the branch head took it home for "safekeeping" and I never saw it again.

These 2 postcards were my reward. Poor Princess Grace.  I liked her in Rear Window but wasn't a big fan
